A selection
of 10 of Blanche Blacke's original songs and two cover tunes,
recorded at Dr. Caw Recording, and engineered by Craig Williams,
the project coalesced with the help of an esteemed group of musicians
who give the album a genuine band feel.
John
Moulder on guitar, Rob Kassinger on bass, Jon Deitemyer on drums,
Steve Eisen on saxophone, flute and congas and the great Bobby
Lewis on trumpet and flugelhorn. At once a collection of bitter-sweet
longing, a jaded glance at men's insincerity and the darkness
of lonely, Out to Sea connects repeatedly with Blanche Blacke's
soulful heart, voice and spirituality.

What
the Critics and Djs are saying!
"This
is truly wonderful, a totally beautiful album, and what a voice!
The slow haunting ones-- Beg the Moon, Lonely Avenue-- are my
favorites." -
Brett Milano, Boston Herald "Skin isn't Thick Enough is
Fantastic!" -
Steve Hochman, LA Times "I get lots of stuff in the
mail and much of it is not as good as your fine recordings"
John
Grist WDCB I believe the female
voice is the center of what makes jazz America's music....and
I love hearing Blanche Blacke....
